FASHION DESIGN COMPETITIONS THAT YOU MIGHT WIN THIS YEAR
Check this list of international fashion competitions that you can set a goal to win this year. Participating itself is big deal 😉 Awards for aspiring fashion designers are not a new thing; Mr. Lagerfeld won in the 1954 International Wool Secretariat competition, along with Yves Saint Laurent, when the designers were ages 21 and 18, respectively. You can learn a lot by participating in contests and by challenging yourself to bring your best to the table. Fashion competitions are a great way to showcase your talent to big fashion houses and to be recruited by them.
As Mr. Kors said in one of the New York Times articles, “In today’s world if you have the drive and the talent — and once you’re in, the tenacity and the endurance — you get noticed quicker”.
The list is organized by the month when the deadline for submission falls. Some of the competitions will let you enter later, but you’ll have to pay an extra fee on top of those listed below. Remember, that many of the competitions require entrance fees and that many of them promise huge cash rewards up to +300,000 euro to winners. Don’t miss the free to enter.
