PINSTRIPE & CHALK STRIPE: DRAWING TECHNIQUE

Pinstripe and chalk stripe are very popular suit patterns, especially in men’s haberdashery. They both represent thin parallel lines of any chosen color. The chalk stripe and the pinstripe, however, are not exactly the same thing.

INTRO

Pinstripe is a single striping thread which gives an impression of a pinhead spot.

Chalk stripe is a series of threads used to give an effect, resembling a line created with tailor’s chalk.
